You can generate leads through list building from Search Engines like Google, Yahoo, Bing, etc. 

Nowadays, we cannot deny the fact that most businesses have websites and social media presence all over the world! 


Methods: 

  •  Choose your preferred search engine. Ex: Google
  •  Type the keywords of your target market. Ex: List of Boutique Shop in "Location", List of Art Galleries in "Location", List of Advertising Agencies in "Location", etc. (You can play any keywords you'd like to use). Be specific to narrow down your search.
  • After the search result, you'll see websites from the top recommended on Google. 
  • Visit all of the websites to check out if there are list of multiple websites relevant to your search or if the website itself is a type of shop, art galleries or agencies you are looking for, you can add them now to your own list. 
  •  Now, go to about us/contact us section of each website.
  •  Copy the email address.
  • Paste on your own list. You can put them on Excel Sheet or Notepad. I prefer Excel Sheet.
  • Go to each website to copy and paste on your list.
  • Rinse. 
  • Repeat.


When I tried this method, this is one of the easiest way to collect Email Address for a specific target leads. Although, some websites do not provide their email address, I just send them a message directly on their contact us page.

This method takes time. It depends on the niche. I used to collect 300-1,000 email address for 4 hours/day. 


2. Online Directories

Many businesses are also registered on Online Directories but not all business websites are registered on online directories.

So, this is also a great way to add more targeted leads on your list.


Methods:

  • Choose your preferred Online Directories like Yelp, Google places and Yahoo.
  • Search for your targeted leads. (Don’t be afraid to be playful on your keywords).
  • List of websites will appear.
  • Visit each website.
  • Just like from the method above, Find the Email Address of the website then copy and paste on your list.
  • Rinse.
  • Repeat.


3. Craigslist

Craigslist has many ads on different industries and there are many crazy listings as well. I used craigslist when I was job hunting and sending e-mails for collaboration with companies from my previous client.


Methods:

  • Choose your Industry.
  • Choose Location.
  • You can also optimize your search on the left side.
  • Click all the ads that appeared related to your niche.
  • Copy the Email on the “Send Email” Button on the right upper corner of the ad.
  • Though, the email addresses appear in alternative way to protect people’s identity but you can collect them and it really works on Email Marketing.
  • Rinse.
  • Repeat.


4. LinkedIn Lead Generation

LinkedIn is the best on B2B Lead Generation. You can connect directly to the CEO’s, Presidents, Founders and Owners of the Companies.

How to Generate Leads on LinkedIn?


Methods:

  • Join Groups related to your niche.
  • Check out members and send them invitation to connect.
  • You can also promote your business on the groups.
  • Grow your connections.
  • Recommended sending invitation to connect is 50 per day. (Avoid getting blocked).
  • Be active on daily posting (valuable information) on groups to let them know your presence and it’s also a way for anyone to send you an invitation to connect. Let them know you exist!
  • Once you are connected with people, their email address will be visible on their profile and you can start collecting them and add to your list.

Methods:

  • Find your target market/relevant niche.
  • Collect Email Address on Facebook Pages.
  • Collect Email Address on Facebook Groups.
  • Collect Email Address via “Search” on search tab on Facebook.
  • You can also post on Facebook groups asking for their email address but you must offer something valuable for them or you can run contest/sweepstakes/giveaways so they’ll provide their email address. What an instant list!

I still remember when I worked as a Virtual Assistant at Choki, nonprofit organization based in US. We’re always finding ways to reach people organically since it is a nonprofit. It was crazy promoting about what we do from different social networks like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn and Email Marketing.

Facebook Groups are very interesting depending on the niche. In fact, I have 929 groups on Facebook from niches like Personal Development, Marketing, Jobs and Careers, Spirituality and other groups which members post random, fun, quotes, articles, promotions, etc. Sounds crazy, right?

But, how can Facebook Groups be a powerful tool to use for your business? Either you are promoting your brands, your services, or your products; you should add Facebook Group Posting in your Marketing Strategies. 


Here’s why you should use Facebook group posting to promote products or services: 


1. REACHING THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE IN SPECIFIC NICHE.


I have around 200+ groups in Spirituality niche. I joined in those groups because Choki is about promoting higher consciousness, Buddhism, meditation, etc. The lowest members in 1 group that I have in my list is around 1,000 members and the highest members that I have in just another 1 group is around 150,000+ members.

In my other groups in Entertainment niche, we are 2 million members and counting. (I’m not an admin here).

Can you see how powerful a single post in just 1 group if it has thousands of members? Of course! They are targeted leads. Would they join in that niche if they weren’t interested?


2. YOU CAN REACH UP TO 100,000+ PEOPLE DAILY.


I have 929 groups on Facebook. Most of the groups I joined are 5,000+ members, 10,000+ members, 40,000+ members, and 100,000+ members but there are around 1,000+ members only. However, if you would add all of them, you already have millions of targeted leads, right? 


WARNING: YOU CAN’T JUST POST TO ALL OF YOUR GROUPS EVERYDAY. YOUR ACCOUNT WILL BE BANNED OR BLOCKED TEMPORARILY OR WORST PERMANENTLY.


What are you going to do to avoid getting banned or blocked by Facebook? 


It’s better if you’re going to use your personal account to post on groups so that admins or other members won’t block you in the group and mark as spam. 


Here are the methods: 


  • Join groups related to your niche ONLY.
  • Join 30-50 groups per day with a minimum delay interval of 5 minutes for joining each group.
  • Post on Groups related to your niche ONLY.
  • Post on 30-50 groups per day with a minimum delay interval of 5 minutes each post.
  • Rinse.
  • Repeat.

Why you should have a delay for joining and posting on Facebook groups? My Facebook account was banned a lot of times and I had to email Facebook support to get back my account. Always keep your account safe! 


3. NETWORKING. 


Some admins will let you down by saying that your post isn’t allowed, etc. In this case, you must be friendly to admins. Add them on your Facebook friend’s list. Be their friends!

In this case, they will allow what you want to post but DO NOT BE TOO SALES-Y. It’s better if you post things that are valuable to the members and sales will follow.

You might also receive referrals through word of mouth which is still one of the most powerful marketing strategies of all time.

From my #2 Post that you can reach 100,000 daily isn’t possible for a single account if you are posting to each group that has 100,000+ members. However, the tough part is that your niche might not have that huge number of members in the groups. 


So, here’s what you are going to do: 


  • Create or Buy Profiles – if you’re going to post 50 groups daily in 1 account, you can reach more people if you have 10 Profiles. So, if you have 10 Profiles which can rotate post on different groups, you can share to 500 groups daily. 
  • Message members in the group if you have to. (Just be personal and keep it short simple).
  • Run a Contest and Post it in large groups. For ex. Like this post and get a chance to win a giveaway then share it on your timeline or tag your friends to win this giveaway, etc. In that case, you can reach more people beyond your groups.

Persistence is the key! Believe it or not. There are thousands, hundred thousand and even millions of members in a single group. You just have to:

  • Use your Personal Account.
  • Identify your niche.
  • Use search tab button on Facebook to find groups related to your niche.
  • Join only to groups that have already thousands of members. (Some groups may take some time for approval of admins, etc.)
  • Join to 30-50 groups per day ONLY.
  • Add 5-10 minutes of time delay before joining to each group. (To avoid getting banned or blocked).
  • Once accepted in the groups, you can start sharing your post from your own Facebook Page.
  • Click (Share...) then click the upper right portion to change from "post on your timeline to share in a group).
  • Type the name of the group.
  • Share.
  • Share to 30-50 groups per day ONLY. (To avoid getting banned or blocked).
  • Rinse.
  • Repeat.
Watch how your organic reach post increase dramatically! 


2. Post on Other Facebook Pages


This method might seem a little bit spammy if you post directly on other Facebook pages without their permission. Instead of competing to your competitors, it's better if you would collaborate with them. So, here's what you should do: 

  • Find Facebook Pages related to your niche.
  • Contact them through "message tab" or find "email address” located to their "about us" and email them.
  • Ask if it's okay to post on their page.
  • Collaborate with them and ask if it's okay to share what you do on their Facebook page.
  • Post on other Facebook pages using your own Facebook page. 
  • Rinse.
  • Repeat.

3. Facebook Commenting


This method works pretty well on Personal Development Niche and other niche that has the most engaging followers.

  • Find competitors.
  • Check out their post if there are comments. The more comments, the better. Post a picture that you think people will like using your own Facebook page account instead of personal account. (It can also drive likes to your page and posts.)
  • Rinse.
  • Repeat.

4. Use Organic Targeting


Facebook offers organic targeting to get Facebook fans based on age, location, gender, interests, hobbies, etc. Choose the specific target as much as possible to get higher increase in likes. 


5. Post High Quality Content, Always


This is the most important thing to get organic reach on Facebook. Make sure that you are posting high quality content.

  • Experiment which best time you can gain more reach, engagements and likes.

7. Share on Other Social Network


Share your post on other Social Networks like Twitter, Pinterest, Tumblr, LinkedIn Groups, etc.

You should separate your business and personal use for Facebook. You should create a Facebook page to build momentum for your business. It's also easy for people to find your website and to know more info about it. You can also easily share your website content and see your insights.

  1. Create a Facebook Page
  2. Post High Quality Content and Images ONLY.
  3. Post once a day ONLY.
  4. Ask your family, friends, friends of friends, relatives to like your page.
  5. Join 30 groups per day (Find groups that are related to your niche or topic). Why 30 groups per day only? Adding on too much groups will ban your account. Add delay interval for 5 minutes before joining to a group again.

  3. Follow 500 people per day. (The key here is to make your followers BIG!)
